It is easy to live through life tormented by fear or worry or barely feeling sufficient enough in ourselves that we don’t really understand and value what we are missing by just simply letting it all go.

There are many people who have received Jesus Christ as their Savior and who will go to heaven without ever drawing on the full capacity of the Holy Spirit gifted to them by the Almighty or achieving the success God would want for them. Many people are actually on their way to heaven; but are they really enjoying the trip? The only way to the Father is through Jesus Christ, that’s given (John 14:6). Salvation is the ticket to heaven. But…while we are still here, are we really enjoying the journey? Are we grasping the fullness of His glory and reaching out for more of Him?
I’m clearly on a quest. A quest to know my Savior deeper. And while on this quest, I have realized that I don’t want to just sleep in the bus or doze off midway through replying a text message like I most often do, hoping to wake up to the sight of my destination. I want to view it all, hear it all, touch it all, experience it all, capture it all – or atleast most of it.
It is easy to live through life tormented by fear or worry or feeling sufficient enough in ourselves that we don’t really understand and value what we are missing by just simply letting it all go. This comfortable and fulfilling life is simply ours for the asking, but we do not know..or sometimes we do, but we plant that seed on the path and the enemy comes and snatches it away.
There is power in the Holy Trinity – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. All work together to bring us into abundant kingdom living. Jesus did not die to give us religion; He died to give us a personal relationship with God through Him and by the power of the Holy Spirit Whom He would send to dwell in everyone who believes. Of the most ignored element of the Holy Trinity is the Holy Spirit. When God the Son ascended into heaven, He told His disciples in John 14 that He would not leave us as orphans but would gift us with a Comforter, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit lives in us. God would never expect us to do anything without providing us what we need to do it. He gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit through which we have power (ability, efficiency and might) – Acts 1:8.
One time, the Pharisees asked Jesus when the Kingdom of God would come. Jesus replied, “The Kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, ‘Here it is’ or ‘There it is’ because the Kingdom of God is within you” – Luke 17: 20-21.
The Kingdom of heaven is IN us and if we want to enjoy the presence of God, we must let Jesus be Lord of our hearts, our inner life, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Making Jesus Lord of our life allows Him to rule in entirety that Kingdom that is within us. His Spirit will ALWAYS lead us and we will live a life of ABUNDANCE, enjoying and being part of every Kingdom agenda.
“Holy Spirit Be My Friend”. I love this song by Meddy. These five words can be engraved in your heart today in your pursuit for an abundant Christian life. I urge you to further read John 16:1-15, and any other material that can bring you to comprehension of the work of the Holy Spirit. Embrace the Holy Spirit and receive power. Keep drawing near to God, He promises to do so in return – James 4:8
